TVS has launched its first electric scooter, the iQube, at Rs 1.15 lakh

TVS has launched its initial electric scooter, the iQube, in Rs 1.15 lakh (on-road, Bengaluru). The scooter can be reserved from January 27 onwards, as well as via 10 dealerships in Bengaluru, via the website of the brand. The scooter will go on sale in metros on a subsequent date.

Powering the iQube is a 4.4kW electric motor that propels the scooter to a claimed top speed of 78kph. Although the Ather 450 will go up to 80kph, in contrast, the Bajaj Chetak includes a high speed of 60kph. TVS claims that its iQube can pay for 75km on a cost — that is on par with all the Ather 450 and quite a bit lower than the maintained variety of 95km of the Bajaj Chetak. TVS is also claiming a 0-40kph period of 4.2 seconds. The scooter has two different riding manners — electricity and economy — also comes with regenerative braking. The battery on the iQube isn’t removable.

The TVS iQube has a next-gen TVS SmartXonnect platform’ that includes the TVS iQube app and a TFT instrument cluster. Both these collectively enable users to access features such as geo-fencing battery charge status, navigation aid, last park location and incoming telephone alerts/SMS alarms, amongst others.

The TVS iQube is simple and appears to target buyers of all ages If it concerns the design. At present, the scooter is currently just available in a white finish. The 12-inch wheels seem like the very same ones who first made an appearance on the special-edition Jupiter. The headlight and tail-light on the scooter are LED units. The scooter also has a unique U-shaped LED DRL at the front of an electric’ emblem.
