Chennai based TVS Motor Company published specifications for the TVS Jupiter BS6 models. The latest Jupiter model will be available in three versions. And so priced from Rs 61,449 (ex-showroom, Delhi) onwards.
Changes that TVS has introduced to the scooter. Include relocating the battery from the bottom of the seat to the front apron. Increasing the bottom seat storage space from 17 liters to 21 liters. And so a bigger fuel tank containing 6 liters of fuel relative to the outgoing5-liter fuel tank versions.
Due to conformity with BS6 the Jupiter now weighs more than the outgoing versions ranging between 104kgs and 107kgs at 1 kg. But TVS claims the current scooters are up to 15 percent more powerful than they were before.
Dealers also reported that three models-Regular, ZX, and Classic-sell the BS6-compliant TVS Jupiter. Both models will have both front and rear drum brakes. Dealers couldn’t tell that the company wants to sell the new scooter disc brakes.
The all-new TVS Jupiter BS6 models now sport a single-cylinder 109cc fuel-injected engine generating 7.3 brake horsepower compared to the BS4-compliant engines generating 7.8 brake horsepower. At 8.4 Newton-meter the torque statistics remain the same.
Three versions of the latest TVS Jupiter BS6 scooter are available-Regular, ZX and Classic. The models rated respectively at Rs 61.449, Rs 63.449 and Rs 67.911. Dealerships at the firm have begun taking bookings, and deliveries are scheduled to commence at midnight next week. All quoted rates are ex-showroom, Delhi.
TVS Beginning New Luxury Bikes In 2021:
The TVS Apache RR310 was the first model introduced by TVS Motor Company following its partnership with BMW Motorrad, a German motorcycle maker. TVS expected to launch its second offering in the luxury motorcycle market three years back.
The collaboration designed two bikes for BMW Motorrad, namely the G310GS and G 310 R, and according to MoneyControl, they sold across the globe in 90 nations.
