Venom 2 : Release Date, Cast, Plot And Trailer

An American superhero movie based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, Venom earned a huge box office in 2018 grossing more than $850 million globally. There were talks of a sequel among the cast members before the first movie was released.

In the next season, Venom: Let there be Carnage, manager Riben Fleischer won’t be back. Rather, Andy Serkis will be directing the sequel.

Release Date

The movie was supposed to be released on October 2, 2020, as filming already started in 2019. But on account of this Covid-19 crisis that’s affecting globally, the launch date was postponed to June 25, 2021.

Cast

Well, Tom Hardy and his alien alter ego will be back as Eddie Brock. Michelle Williams, who plays Eddie’s ex-wife Anne Weying will also return.

Other casts that can be expected are Stephen Graham, Naomi Harris, and Sean Delaney. It is also quite likely that Tom Holland ( Peter Parker / Spiderman) will probably be understood at Venom 2.

Plot

Judging from the first season, we could expect to see more mortal scenes and overpowering cinematography from the coming sequel. There’s not much idea about the plot, but Matt Tolmach ( the manufacturer of both Venom and Venom 2) commented that the sequel could focus on the connection between Eddie and Venom.

Also, in the former film, Cletus Kasady ( Woody Harrelson) transfigured into the vicious villain, Carnage. So we can expect to view Harrelson play a more fundamental role in the upcoming movie.

The new manager, Andy Serkis, has announced that the film is going to be an” extraordinary piece of cinema,” although no further plot details were shown.

Trailer

There were reports that the trailer will be out in April, but as we can see, that didn’t happen as a result of the pandemic. However, a little teaser has been released that reveals nothing but only the name.
