Rey will be back in the upcoming relaunch of All-Star Wars Adventures by IDW Publishing. The new anthology series (geared toward younger readers) is coming this May, with the first problems focusing on Rey taking place before the events of Star Wars: The growth of Skywalker.
Star Wars Adventures was originally imagined as a new way to introduce readers to the Star Wars Universe. The very first issue of the series focused on Rey with other tales in the run focusing on droids, Wookiees, and characters to the other side of the Star Wars universe including Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Finn, along with Poe Dameron. The anthology-style of the series let each issue to jump around the Star Wars timeline and provide readers the opportunity to see all kinds of settings and characters.
During Project Luminous, it had been revealed Daniel Jose Older will be writing Star Wars The High Republic Adventures that’s an upcoming young reader-focused narrative set in the High Republic era. Writer Michael Moreci (Wasted Space, Black Star Renegades) has now revealed that he is going to be writing the newest #1 for its upcoming relaunch of Star Wars Adventures. Moreci has plenty of expertise from the Star Wars planet, writing a handful of stories for the show previously, in addition to the forthcoming Star Wars Adventures: The Clone Was – Battle Tales miniseries for IDW.
Moreci revealed on Twitter that Star Wars Adventure relaunch will start in May, as he will tackle”the very first batch of issues.” Moreci also said the series will start with a Rey experience. When asked whether the new story will take place before or following Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Moreci reacted by saying his story will take place before the events of the film. Moreci also confirmed that Finn and Poe will be taking place in the experiences with Rey. Therefore, for those jonesing to find the trio from the trilogy for an adventure, you are getting your wish. Moreci will compose the show, while Nick Brokenshire is recorded as the co-writer and performer on Comixology. Here’s the full solicit for the show under.
