If we list some of the iconic cars of the 19th century, then the vehicle which would top the list is Ford Mustang, a car manufactured by Ford. The Mustang debuted in 1964 with a price of $2,368 and by 1965 Mustang was the automaker’s most successful launch since the Model A. The Ford Mustang Mach 1 model was successfully introduced in April 1964 as a sporty “pony car” to attract younger buyers into Ford products. Now Ford is coming up with 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 revealed by Ringbrothers at SEMA showcase this year.
Its classic look is enlightened by a custom paint job and a mixture of carbon fibre and steel panels. It has been housed with reshaped bumpers, a deep chin spoiler, thin mirrors, billet taillights, and a race fuel filler on the left rear quarter panel leading to a custom fuel cell by Rick’s Hot Rods which gives it a race car look.
The interior of the car has been given a luxurious touch with billet toggle switches, knurled dials for the Vintage Air Gen IV air conditioning, drilled stalks on the Ididit steering column Recaro seats, a Momo steering wheel and Classic Instruments gauges. Drivers will also find billet switchgear and an infotainment system. Under the hood lies naturally aspirated 520-cubic-inch (8.5-litre) Boss V8 engine with Holley carbs and Flowmaster header producing 700 hp (522 kW / 710 PS), which is architectured by Jon Kaase.
The rear wheel receives power from six-speed manual transmission via a carbon-fibre driveshaft to a 9-inch John’s Industries back end with 3:55 gears. The use of Flowmaster 44 stainless steel in making exhaust helps in keeping noise loud and proud. Detroit Speed Engineering designed a new front and rear suspension using RideTech coil overs, new front and rear sway bars, and new rack-and-pinion steering rack. At the corners are a set of staggered 19- and 20-inch HRE wheels in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S rubber, held back by six-piston Baer Extreme callipers all around.
1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is genuinely a performance-oriented option package of the Ford Mustang. If you’ve been in the market for a true classic with impressive power, look no further your ultimate destination is 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1.
