Organizers for the Goodwood Pace Festival in the UK reported on Thursday that the running of this year, planned for 9-12 July. It has delayed due to the ongoing Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.
The organizers track the situation and in due course will have an update on a new date. They look to late summer. And the early fall but the execution of the event will focus solely on the result of the pandemic. Anyone who has already bought tickets could use them for the postponed game.
Although the Goodwood FoS is not officially an auto show. It has used by automakers for debuting new cars in past years. One of the debuts speculated for this year’s event is the revamped Volkswagen Golf R. Any announcements expected for the July race will presumably also happen online.
Also at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the IndyCar Grand Prix will now run the weekend from July 4. Instead of the original May 9 date. It’ll be played as a doubleheader for IndyCar-NASCAR. Many events on the IndyCar schedule are still changing. With the St. Petersburg event that was scheduled to kick off the 2020 season earlier this month.
