Bajaj has recently revamped its product portfolio. The website has been updated with new BS6 products, while the old BS4 model has been completely removed. Earlier, it was rumored that the company had ceased production of Avenger 220 Street and had stopped supplying stock to the dealership in March.
So closed
The reason for the closure of Avenger 220 Street maybe its low sales as the company already has a cheaper Avenger 160 Street (Avenger 160 Street) which is quite popular and also has good sales. Apart from this, the Avenger 220 is also available in the ‘Cruise’ avatar which will later become the only 220 cc Avenger model.
So famous
The Bajaj Avenger series of bikes are famous for providing ergonomics with a very luxurious and comfortable ride. With its long and extended single-seat, front-to-rear leg space, and a single handle-bar with tilted beach (beach) styles at the rear, the Bajaj Avenger has yet to be compared to its competing box Proven as an affordable and practical offering.
Features
The Avenger 220 Street featured a black-out paint scheme with red highlights on the tank and side panels. It also has black alloy wheels, small stubby exhaust with silver treatment, and many other exterior features.
Engine and design
The Avenger 220 Street was powered by a 220cc single-cylinder engine with BS4 fuel emissions, which was known to generate 19.3 PS of power and 17.5 Nm of torque. This engine came with a 5-speed transmission. This bike was equipped with a telescopic fork in the front and twin shock absorbers in the rear. Speaking of braking, it had disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. Its safety kit included single-channel ABS.

With the Avenger 220 Street discontinued, two bikes under the Avenger range – Avenger Street 160 BS6 (Avenger 160 Street BS 6) and Avenger Cruise 220 BS6 (Avenger 220 Cruise BS 6) are currently listed on the company’s website. The Avenger Street 160 BS6 is priced at Rs 94,893 and the Avenger Cruise 220 BS6 is priced at Rs 1.16 lakh.
