Amazon has confirmed they are creating a Lord of the Rings TV series for Amazon videos that were prime. The show will be an adaptation of the movie trilogy. But whether it would have any ties with Peter Jackson’s Lord of The Rings isn’t given yet by Amazon, nor did they define what the series will be around.
Amazon is comparatively in the early phases of the development process together with the authors. The writers for the are JD Payne & Patrick McKay heading the project, with Game of Thrones writers. The producer is Bryan Cogman overseeing the entire process.

Because production has not even begun, amazon did not specify any release dates yet. But it could be anticipated to release in 2021. We could find an announcement regarding the release date.
