The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Release Date, Trailer, Cast, Story, and Latest Update We Need To Know About It

The first Star Wars live-action TV series, The Mandalorian, has set lovers’ hearts a-flutter (and Disney+ subscriptions soaring), using a movie-worthy budget and a murderer’s row of directors. Marvel will follow suit soon with a parade of limited series, with the first batch focusing on big screen celebrities reprising their own Avengers roles in the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame, with others introducing brand new characters that can switch between little and large screen adventures.

Malcolm Spellman (Empire) will compose The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Joining him on writing responsibilities will be John Wick founder Derek Kolstad, based on The Wrap.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is just one of several Marvel shows coming to Disney+, including Loki, WandaVision (focusing on Vision and the Scarlet Witch), Hawkeye, She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, along with Moon Knight.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Release Date

Disney chief Bob Iger revealed on an earnings call that Falcon and the Winter Soldier will premiere on Disney+ in August 2020.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Trailer

While it’s not a Complete trailer by Itself, we got our first look at footage from The Falcon and The Winter Soldier (as well as Loki and WandaVision) through the Super Bowl. Check it out here, while you’re at it, if you can see USAgent in there and see.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Story

What exactly does this mean to Captain America? Well, if you watched the end of Avengers: Endgame, you know that Steve Rogers has lived on, but handed the shield to Sam Wilson, that is going to be the new Captain America. Sam definitely appeared to have some reservations, although bucky accepted and all it signifies. Don’t be shocked if this series is about the pair coming to terms with a planet where Steve Rogers has to play a very different function , also with Sam coming to terms with the enormity of his responsibility.

Here’s the official synopsis courtesy of Disney:

“Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) team up in a worldwide experience that tests their abilities–and their patience–in Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.”

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Cast

Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie co-star here, reprising their respective roles as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier and Sam Wilson/Falcon.

According to a Deadline report, a few other recognizable MCU faces will soon be linking The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Emily VanCamp and daniel Bruhl will join the cast. If those names sound familiar it is because they both played roles in Captain America: Civil War.

Bruhl played with Helmut Zemo, a Sokovian citizen turned into terrorist mastermind who, in Civil War, engineered the rift between Tony Stark and Steve Rogers. Emily VanCamp played with Sharon Carter, SHIELD representative, and grandniece of Peggy Carter. Both have been kissed by Steve Rogers.

Wyatt Russell will perform John Walker, better known to Marvel fans as the troubled USAgent (it’s possible to catch your first glimpse of Walker/USAgent from the early footage). This is a character who is bound to give our titular heroes a tough moment. We’ve got all you need to know about John Walker, the USAgent right here.
