Hyundai Creta bookings go beyond 21,000 mark.

Automotive gets our attention a lot. This is clearly noticed as we see a lot of development in this field. Another milestone reached gives us a more confirmed nerve. It comes from the new Creta. The second generation of Hyundai Creta was launched on March 16. And it is now two months since its price announcement.

As per our sources, Hyundai manages to secure 21, 000 bookings for their mid-size SUV. In a recent Instagram session with Tarun Garg – Director of Sales, Service, and Marketing, it is revealed that with bookings coming in continuously through their Hyundai online retail channel, the orders are confirmed to go above by 50 percent. The number of orders at the time of launching was 14000. Though, there is sure some loss in spirits after the nationwide lockdown started just a few days after the announcement of the Creta’s price. And this is mainly in the first few months of the launch when the sales are supposed to be high.

But it is quite appreciable from Hyundai that they have managed to give away 1000 keys to their customers. Also, they have 6000-7000 Hyundai at their dealerships stocked up. These will be delivered post lockdown measures. During the launching time, the company did announce the waiting period of eight weeks. But now, it may get some reduction as Hyundai starts production at its Tamil Nadu manufacturing unit.

Talking of the specs of 2020 Hyundai Creta – it gets three engine options. They are 115 hp, 1.5-liter petrol engine with manual, another one being CVT Automatic 115 hp, 1.5-liter diesel engine, and the last being 140 hp, 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine with DCT automatic transmission. The SUV is available in five trim levels – E, EX, S, SX, SX (O). And the introductory prices are tagged at Rs 9.99-17.20 lakh.

This makes it readily acceptable for the sales of the beast.
