According to the leaked reports from the RTO, Honda’s city VTEC petrol engine with a manual gearbox has received the BS6 certification. The Honda City will go on sale in four versions: SV, V, VX, ZX. The present prices range from 10 lacs to 13 lacs, and the BS6 compliant version will cost you 10 per cent more than the present thing. And the new upgrade of BS6 will make the Honda city more powerful.
With the BS4 form, the i-VTEC motor delivers power up to 117 bhp and a torque worth of 145 Nm. The BS6 compliant version goes for the gasoline unit and will return the power of 117.6 bhp. The torque output however will remain unchanged. The new car comes with updated terms on the emission because of the i-DTEC diesel engine. The oil burner is there for a peak power of 99 bhp with 200 Nm of torque.
The Honda line up and Variants
The sedan has two line ups the 5-speed manual version and the CVT petrol-only variant. The mileage figures also stand quite good and no further experiments are occurring for the BS6 Honda city petrol. The new generation is going to see the ready Honda city next year and will have its world premiere next week. The show is going up next month in Thailand. It is going to be bigger, more spacious and feature-loaded. The new generation will aim to benefit from the mid-size sedan and with the Honda’s i-MMD mild-hybrid technology.
For the first time, the Honda City is also offering the diesel CVT combination. And along is going to descend the radical aesthetic changes. The BS6 we were talking earlier is coming with a lot of perks and clauses which will be new for the market. And the certification process has made it more obvious. The sales and market will be sure even for them throughout. There may be leaked galleries as well. So, heads up for a new start.
