DS 7 Crossback E-Tense 2019 review and Specification

The all-new DS 7 Crossback has launched recently. It is 4*4 SUV with that can run as fast as 296bhp. It can run a total of 0-62mph in just 5.9sec.

The brand new E-Tense is capable of well over 200mpg in the official tests while emitting as low as 33g/km of carbon dioxide.

The company car drivers can save a considerable amount by investing in this model.

E-Tense works with the help of electricity to achieve its figures. A 13.2 kWh battery gives a claimed electric-only driving range of more than thirty miles.

It takes around two hours to charge using a regular 7 kW home charger or eight hours from a three-pin home socket.

Thus, it sounds safe to say the new E-Tense is the alternative to Volvo XC60 T8 or the Audi Q5 TFSIe.

Suppose there is still a charge left in the battery, the vehicle will automatically switch electric-only mode when you turn on the ignition.

E-Tense gives you an experience of smooth running, and acceleration is also pushy at low speeds.

The E-Tense may run smoothly at the speed of 80mph, but it might take a toll on the battery. It provides you with the option of switching to a hybrid-driving mode that mixes petrol and electric power.

One of the fantastic features of the vehicle involves conserving the battery for some urban driving later during the journey. However, its the engine is rather uncouth.

The 197bhp 1.6-litre turbocharged unit sends vibrations coursing through the steering wheel, pedals and even the front seats when it fires into life.

However, the eight-speed automatic gearbox is quite quick to pick the right gear if you need to accelerate hard suddenly, there is a detectable pause before maximum acceleration arrives.

It occurs when you are accelerating from the standstill or are already moving.
