The Orville Season 3: Plot: Why did Alara leave The Orville? What does this mean for Season 3? Can we See Some New Faces

The Orville is an American Sci-fi comedy-drama Collection. It was not just created by Seth MacFarlane also starred in it since the protagonist Ed Mercer. The series occurs in the 25th Century, in which Mercer is an officer at the Planetary Union’s line of space vessels. The series draws inspiration from the original Star Trek in addition to its Next Generation successor. It caricatures the two but also homages them. The first two seasons aired in 2018-19 and 2017-18. Fuzzy Door Productions and 20th Century Fox Television jointly produced it.

The show follows the crew of the titular starship, USS Orville, along with the interstellar alliance between the Earth and other planets in the 25th Century.
While receiving positive reviews season 1 received negative reviews from critics. Season 2 was both critically and commercially acclaimed.

Everything we know about Season 3 of The Orville

Season 3 of The Orville is expected to get a late 2020 launch on viewing platform Hulu. But the release date has not been confirmed. Nothing can be said at the moment due to the continuing Covid-19 Pandemic with confidence.

There are assumed to be thirteen episodes in Season 3. But creator Seth MacFarlane has stated that each episode will operate for ten minutes more.

Cast: Will we see any new face in Season 3?

We watched Lieutenant Alara Kitan (played with Halston Sage) depart the team in Season two. But executive producer David Goodman said that they”love her and would want to determine ways that she can come back”.

MacFarlane will return as Captain Ed Mercer.
These figures are expected: Commander Kelly Grayson (Adrianna Palicki), Doctor Claire Finn (Penny Johnson Jerald), Lieutenant Gordon Malloy (Scott Grimes), Lieutenant Commander Bortus (Peter Macon), Lieutenant Commander John LaMarr (J Lee), Isaac (Mark Jackson), Lieutenant Talla Keyali (Jessica Szohr), and Klyden (Chad L Coleman).
There is a brand new face which we’ll see also. Yay.
Anne Winters (13 Reasons ) is joining as a character named Charly Burke, according to Deadline.

Plot: Why did Alara leave The Orville? What does this mean for Season 3?

Alara left The Orville at the end of Season 2 to back to her world and reconcile with her loved ones. After having a troubled relationship she became near her father. This is only because she had been considered a person and her dad did not approve of her decision.

But as mentioned previously, the founders may be thinking of getting back her character, though she will not be a series regular.

As for the other storylines that are worried, small is known right now. Goodman demonstrated that Isaac may face repercussions for his conclusions in Season 2. Talking to Trek Movie, he said: “We’re still going to be doing standalone episodes. But now we’ve shown that we could do a deeper dive from the Union, into our characters, into the extraterrestrial beings. Thus, we will continue that build.”

“But it is really important for us for the show to stick to the arrangement… You do not want anybody confused who hasn’t seen the show before. That is always a goal for us. We don’t want to alienate any new audience member.”
