Now coming to the latest news from India’s Automaker giant, the company has some new surprises for its customers this year.
The recently launched 7-seat version of the Harrier has finally got a name and Tata is calling it “Buzzard”.
However, the carmaker also added that it won’t be called the Buzzard when it launches in India later in the coming months.
Also the company, Tata Motors has confirmed that it will launch the 7-seater Harrier in 2019.
It will share the model’s foundation with the standard Harrier, which is based on Tata’s famous OMEGA ARC platform.
However, as per the news, we are getting from the sources, it will be 62mm longer than the standard Harrier.
The sources also suggest that the three-rowed SUV will also share the Fiat-sourced 2.0-liter diesel engine.
In Harrier, the same 2.0-liter engine churns out 140PS/350Nm, while in the Compass the same motor produces 173PS/350Nm.
Along with a 6-speed Manual Transmission, which does duty in the Harrier, the 7-seater SUV is also expected to get an advanced and upgraded 6-speed Automatic Transmission torque converter unit.
When launch, the 7-seater Harrier is expected to take on the Mahindra XUV500 and 7-seater variant of the MG Hector.
It is reported that the three-row SUV will be priced at a premium range over the standard Harrier.
The second model from the Tata Motors has taken the wraps off the H2X Concept, which was recently revealed in the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.
The H2X previews a Micro-sized SUV that will sit below the Nexon and is rumored to be called the Hornbill, take it with the pinch of salt.
The H2X Concept has a uniquely futuristic and sports unique design elements which sets it apart from the new model.
When the model will arrive next year, the H2X will enter into the newly formed micro SUV segment and will rival against the likes of Ford Freestyle, Mahindra KUV100, and the upcoming Future S Concept-based product from Maruti Suzuki, the latest sources suggest.
The production-ready model is expected to be showcased next year at the Auto Expo in Delhi before hitting the streets in mid-2020.
