Atypical is a coming-of-age TV series developed by Robia Rashid. The series made its debut on August 11th, 2017, and has completed 3 seasons so far. Season 1 has 8 episodes. Season 2 of Atypical was first aired on September 7th 2018 and has 10 episodes. Season 3 was being released on November 1st, 2019, and also has 10 episodes. The series was first premiered on Netflix and got a rating of 87% from Rotten Tomatoes. The fans loved the series. The story is about an 18-year-old autistic Sam Gardner who decides to start dating girls. Sam’s father Doug always had an issue connecting with his son but was thrilled when Sam went to him for advice. When one day went to his girlfriend with strawberries covered in chocolate to surprise her. Doug drives Sam to his girlfriend’s place and finds that his girlfriend is Julia, Sam’s 26-year-old therapist. Doug after this pulls Sam aside and asks him to find a girlfriend of his age. Sam decides that he needs a girlfriend for practice and this how he learns the nuances of dating from his family and friends.
Atypical Season 4 Cast
Atypical Season 4 will include the old cast including Keir Gilchrist as Sam Gardner, Jennifer Jason Leigh as Elsa Gardner, Amy Okuda as Julia Sasaki, Bridgette Lundy Paine as Casey Gardner, Michael Rapaport as Doug Gardner, Jenna Boyd as Paige Hardway, Nig Dodani as Zahid Raja and Fivel Stewart as Izzie. There has been no information confirming any new faces joining the cast.
Atypical Season 4 Plot
In season 3 we have seen Sam seeking admission in the college for his future. The previous seasons were all centered on the challenges that Sam faced due to his disease and some other matters too. In season 4 we will be knowing more about Sam’s sister Casey played by Brigette. Sam now wants to live with his friends Zahid and Ruby and not Brett anymore. As Atypical Season 4 will be final and last season the focus will be on wrapping up the story with the conclusion of Sam’s life challenges.
Atypical Season 4 Release Date
The announcement of Atypical Season 4 to be renewed was done in February 2020. But after that there has been no news about the official release date of season 4. The filming of Atypical Season 4 has been stopped due to the outbreak of the Corona Virus. This might cause a delay in the release of the new season.
