Black Summer is an action, apocalyptic fiction drama television web series created by Karl Schaefer and John Hyams.
The series was established in Calgary, Alberta, in Canada. Thus far, only one season of Black Summer was released on Netflix. The show was rated 6.4/10 by IMDb and 78 per cent by Rotten Tomatoes.

Jaimy King who plays the role of Rose, Justin Chu Cary as Julius James, Sal Velez Jr as William Velez, Kelsey Flower as Lance and Christina Lee as Korean women in the series. Besides them, many other actors are also added to the cast along with the lead characters in season two.

The first series of Black Summer Season consists of eight episodes was premiered on Netflix on April 19, 2019. Season 2 production has been halted by coronavirus pandemic, but it will release in 2021 as earlier as soon as possible.
