Black Summer is a drama based on apocalyptic fiction possessing zombies attack. The show has been into existence by the collaboration of Karl Schaefer and John Hyams. This series has an American origin. It has successfully obtained a record of viewership on Netflix.
PLOT OF BLACK SUMMER:
Season 1 of the series has its main focus on a desperate mother, Rose (played by Jaime King). The city where she lives faces zombie apocalypse. Unfortunately, her daughter, Anna, gets separated from her during the same period. Rose then gets on the most challenging paths to find her daughter at any cost.
SEASON 2 STORYLINE:
Season 1 begins with the scenario where the city is already facing a zombie apocalypse. And it’s been six weeks since it started. The story is centered on Rose who is in search of her daughter.
However, Season 2 is anticipated to have a different story. The story of some other character might be seen. The scenarios are expected to be different. There are no details on the storyline of Season 2.

In the previous season of Black Summer the main characters were:
Jaime King as Rose, Justin Chu Cary as Julius James, Christine Lee as Ooh ‘Sun’ Kyungsun, Sal Velez Jr. as William Velez and finally Kelsey Flower as Lance. Apart from them, there were other recurring characters as well.
There is no clear idea about the plot of Season 2. Hence it is difficult to guess if the same cast is going be there in this season as well.

The places where the majority of season 1 has been filmed are in Canada. This includes Calgary and Alberta. Season 2 is also expected to be filmed there.

Season 1 was released on 11th April 2019. This season of the series ended up having 8 episodes. Each episode was approximately 25-40 minutes duration long. The same is anticipated to be with Season 2.

Unfortunately, there is no information about the releasing dates of the series. The global pandemic has lead to an extension in the filming and premiere of the much-awaited of season 2 of Black Summer.
