The G80, a successor of the BMW M3, is just a year away from its market launch. Yet the current generation F80 BMW M3 is still a product in appeal. Photos from BMW Manhattan show the current BMW M3 Competition in Imola Red. Despite being a six-year old car, the flashy red color gives it a visual boost.
Tuning
The Competition model of the F80 M3 has a tuned-up S55 engine delivering 450 hp. It can be experienced instantly because of the precise coordination of the steering, chassis, active rear-axle differential and the electronic control systems. Besides being considerably more agile than a normal M3, the M3 Competition is also louder thanks to the modified exhaust system.
There are other additions such as the new chassis, suspension and steering tuning, and tuning of the limited-slip differential and some interior upgrades such as new lightweight seats from North American BMW M4 GTS and seat belt with M-colored stripes. Being an enthusiast car, a six-speed manual transmission was added. The Ceramic Brakes version comes for around $7650 USD, which you can go for if money-issues aren’t there.
