It’s never too late to connect with your friends and spend some time making memories with them. Hulu comedy series ‘Dollface‘ is about just that. Hulu awarded the series the go-ahead for a complete season consisting of 10 episodes.
It is one that speaks intimately and a series that is very relatable to young women today. The series centers upon predicaments and issues faced by young women in this day and age. It’s one of the shows of recent times.
“Dollface is a romance about a bunch of buddies. It’s you and your best friend watching a romantic comedy. That’s why I’m so eager for the entire world to fulfill with Izzy, and Jules, Madison, Stella. I hope they make you laugh, and I hope they remind you of yourself, I hope they make you want to reach out to somebody. The significance of friendship that’s what this series is all about,” Jordan Weiss told.
Weiss created the idea based on events. “I wrote it as my writing sample once I was an assistant,” Weiss said in a dialogue with Variety. “I had been in a relationship in school and struggled to put myself out there with friendships as much as I could have,” she continued. “And coming out of the moment, coming from a breakup not dissimilar to this one in the series, and realizing that I had to put more times into my girlfriends, that’s where the idea came out.”
“Jules loses herself in her relationship, and it has lost her close friend circle on the way. I have done that, had dramas and breakups, and think that it’s a wonderful part of being a human person woman and man. And I think it’s important to reveal”, she added.

Dollface Season 2 Cast
The series has prominent female characters and has an outfit of upcoming actors. The protagonist Jules is performed with Kat Dennings of’2 Broke Ladies’ fame. At the same time, her friends in the series include’Pretty Little Liars’ celebrity Shay Mitchell who plays Stella Cole, Disney’s Brenda Song enjoying Madison Maxwell and crazy Ex-Girlfriend’ celebrity Esther Povitsky portraying Izzy.
Malin Akerman, Amilla Bella, Shelley Hennig, and Goran Vidnjic make up the other members of this lineup. Vidic is cast in a recurring role in June.

Dollface Season 2 Plot
The story of this series revolves around Jules (Kat Dennings) that has just been dumped by her long-time boyfriend. In the wake of the abrupt breakup, she realizes that she has lost a lot of her girlfriends because she had been engrossed in time with her boyfriend. She then attempts to reconnect while overcoming the barriers of her imagination with them all, trying to win them back. The series narrates Jules’s life and times and her team of friends, depicting laughs, the struggles and moments they spend.
Dollface Season 2 Release Date
‘Dollface’ period 1 premiered on November 15, 2019, on Hulu. This show’s first season has a total of 10 episodes.
There’s been a massive influx of reveals off-late. While most of the displays such as Fleabag have been great and certainly is a welcome change, some did not leave much impression. ‘Dollface’ certainly belongs to the group. Though Hulu has not made any statements up to now, there is a chance that the series will be back with another season. If revived, it is possible to anticipate’Dollface’ season 2 to release sometime in November 2020.
