Fantastic Beasts Declared the Wizarding World of Harry Potter: The Crimes of Grindelwald in 2018, which, much to our disappointment, was Not a Victory. Warner Bros had not expected poor reviews and poor box-office collection, especially if it had planned for a five-movie collection of Great Beasts.
However, at present, Warner Bros. is fairly optimistic about how to make the third film a hit, with Rowling’s incredible vision to navigate the whole series. Here’s everything you need to know about Fantastic Beasts 3
Release Date
Initially, it seemed that Fantastic Beasts 3 would follow the two-year launch pattern and hit the theaters on November 20, 2020. But this date was not fixed, and once the production was pushed back by Warner Bros., we understood that 2020 was not the year for the sequel.
Fantastic Beasts 3 is slated to release on November 12, 2021, and the filming will commence in spring 2020. Talking about the delay, Warner Bros chairman Toby Emmerich explained that they needed additional time for preparation so that they can deliver the very best possible movie.
Cast
Unluckily, not all survived the Crimes of Grindelwald. Leta Lestrange (Zoe Kravitz) met a tragic ending whilst conserving Newt along with others. This rules her out, but she can pop up in the form of a flashback.
Eddie Redmayne will reunite as Newt Scamander. Jude Law will replace as youthful Albus Dumbledore and will be joined by Katherine Waterston as Tina Goldstein and Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski.
Plot
As of now, much of the plot is kept under wraps. But, Rowling gave us clues as to where the next movie will be taken. She did so on her Twitter handles, correcting a spelling mistake which hinted towards the setting of Rio de Janeiro from the 1930s.
On December 10, 2018, Rowling complete the script, so it’s either a sign to a Brazilian setting or a witty misguidance from her side.
