Initial pictures of one of Ford’s two upcoming rugged retro-styled SUVs. It has surfaced on the internet until their launch in April 2020. These images show the Ford Bronco Sport SUV version of its production. In reality, the Bronco Sport is the smaller. As one of the two rugged retro-styled SUVs which Ford will launch under the Bronco moniker.
The Ford Bronco SUV was a popular off-roader for those who don’t know, on sale from 1966 to 1996. With this new Crossover, the brand resurrected the name Bronco, 22 years since the last car rolled off the production line.
While the earlier Bronco lineup sat on a much larger platform. That also spawned popular models such as the Ford F-150. The new Bronco line-up includes two SUVs with the bigger Bronco Sport (seen here) using the Ford Escape underpinnings. While yet to be seen Ford Bronco would share a platform with the Ford Ranger and the Everest SUVs (Endeavour for India).
The Ford Bronco Sport with multiple cuts and creases and black-out parts gets a newly paint bodyshell. It has a large black grill with massive Bronco badging on each side and big headlamps. The headlamps feature circular LED daytime running lights, and horizontally located LED turn signals that blend with the grill.
It has a wide intake of air and a chunky two-hook front bumper. The exterior has a dual-tone appearance with the bottom composed of black cladding and the top half-seen again with black paint comparison. The model seen in the pictures sports gunmetal chunky alloy wheels and faux brushed aluminum finish on the roof rails.
The window line of the SUV features a big kink just aft of the C-pillar with a slightly higher placement of the rear quarter of the glass. This styling dimension is also supposed to be seen in its five-door mode on the bigger Ford Bronco SUV. The tailgate at the back features several creases and a broad logo from Bronco Sport. It gets vertical taillamps and a big pane of glass.
