Kong will have a new weapon at the MonsterVerse, and it could be the key to beating the King of the Monsters in Godzilla vs. Kong. The weapon has been spoiled by a current toy escape, which showed images of fresh Godzilla vs. Kong action figures. The biggest news to come from the escape is that the show of a MonsterVerse Titan but there are additional details which are notable too.
Directed by Adam Wingard, Godzilla vs. Kong is the fourth film in the MonsterVerse and the next movie in movie history to watch Godzilla and Kong battle on the screen. The film had a release date of March 2020, but due to Godzilla: King of the Monsters’ lack of success, it was pushed back to November. A preview still hasn’t been published. Thus far, the most notable information regarding Godzilla vs. Kong has arrived from leaks, instead of official sources. A toy escape that was preceding spoiled that Godzilla and Kong would cross the robotic copy, Mechagodzilla of Godzilla and paths with Toho villain. Also shown in this escape was Kong carrying a weapon. This leak has offered a far closer look.
Packaged together with all the Kong toy is an ax. Even though it is not necessarily true that all the action figures from your Godzilla vs. Kong toyline need to come straight from something that happens in the film, this one specifically does appear to arise from something which could factor heavily into Kong’s struggle with Godzilla. It might be that at any point in the movie, Kong will use his intellect to style an ax utilizing a large rock and a tree. A weapon such as this would come in handy and its inclusion can clarify Kong will approach his battle with Godzilla.
Godzilla May Be Physically Superior To Kong
Though Kong has become a massive size upgrade just in time for Godzilla vs. Kong, this doesn’t change the fact that the King of Skull Island will still be perceived as the underdog, as he was in Toho’s 1962 movie, King Kong vs. Godzilla. To conquer Godzilla, this weapon could be necessary to gain an edge. Typically, Godzilla is physically superior to his foes. Ordinarily, when a monster starts to conquer Godzilla, it’s because of a gimmick that Godzilla has to adapt to, a strong ranged attack of some sort, or even a team-up. Having the capability to win has been the biggest strength of Godzilla.
There are numerous cases of Godzilla superiority. When unable to use his arsenal of missiles and laser cannons, Mechagodzilla is no match for him. In Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla had Ghidorah – among the strongest Titans from the MonsterVerse – to the floor within seconds of their initial crash in Antarctica. In terms of Kong, he struggled to withhold his own against Godzilla’s punches in King Kong vs.
Godzilla before his electric forces – that his MonsterVerse counterpart doesn’t have – kicked and provided him with a much-needed benefit. What all this means to get Godzilla vs. Kong is that Godzilla will enter the film a heavy favorite. The odds won’t be in his favor, although that doesn’t mean Kong will lose, given Godzilla energy.
Sharp Weapons Are A Weakness For Godzilla
Godzilla excellence extends to almost all of his struggles, but Godzilla was given a substantial quantity of difficulty in close battle: Gigan by one foe particularly. Back in Godzilla vs. Gigan, Godzilla took a beating against Gigan, an alien cyborg using hook-like blades for handson. Gigan, that became the first creature to make Godzilla bleed, viciously hit Godzilla with cut after cut, then turning Godzilla to a bloody mess. Godzilla died in that fight.
Does this weakness of Godzilla’s transfer over to the MonsterVerse? The 2014 Godzilla movie suggests it will. While working together, the two M.U.T.O.s were able to do serious damage to Godzilla by attacking him with their clawed limbs.
As it came to cutting Godzilla’s skin, they seemed to have a lot of success. Godzilla reeled in agony a few times during his battle with the M.U.T.O.s. Their relentless assault put Godzilla on the defensive and put him. The majority of the problems Godzilla stemmed from their ability to cut and pierce him.
How Kong’s Axe Can Be Used To Beat Godzilla
Fans have speculated that Kong may utilize the ax. This would be a unique – and – painful – way and it is difficult to say how effective this strategy would be. No matter the ax could be directly used against Godzilla. If it’s sharp, it can be employed to reduce deep into the body of Godzilla. Gigan demonstrates that bladed weapons represent a weakness for Godzilla that could be exploited in Godzilla vs. Kong.
A weapon such as the one which Kong is expected to wield in Godzilla vs. Kong may be his best chance at dealing with considerable sum damage to Godzilla. Based upon its sharpness, Kong may be able by forcing it into his torso to weaken Godzilla. Godzilla would be slowed down by such a wound. In case the ax of Kong can permeate through the tough exterior of Godzilla, his odds of becoming the new King of the Monsters and beating Godzilla will enhance.
As Kong will require a potent weapon in his arsenal for him so to possess a defense against Godzilla’s atomic breath having this advantage will be critical. Back in King Kong vs. Godzilla, Godzilla’s atomic breath severely wounded Kong and burnt his fur.
This was a large problem for Kong because it supposed Godzilla had the edge in close combat and at a distance. The issue will not go away from the MonsterVerse, as Godzilla will surely utilize his atomic breath against Kong in the upcoming film.
This will force Kong to narrow down the space between them, but that won’t do him much good if Godzilla is stronger and more powerful than him. Kong has agility on his side, but that may be insufficient. If he’s going to get close to Godzilla from blasting him with his breath and prevent him, he will need a weapon such as the stone ax to match Godzilla emotionally. With it, he could pose a Massive threat to Godzilla’s current reign as the King of the Monsters in Godzilla vs. Kong.
