The series is created by Andy Coyle and developed by Luke Pearson, Stephanie Simpson and Kurt Mueller. The series made its debut on September 21st, 2018, with 13 episodes as season 1. Hilda was premiered on Netflix. The series got a rating of 100% from Rotten Tomatoes and 8.6/10 from IMDb. The series revolves around the adventures of a blue-haired girl named Hilda.

It has been made official that Hilda has been renewed for a season 2. It was confirmed back in October 2018. Till now, there has been no official date for the release of Hilda season 2. The production was brought to a halt due to the outbreak of the coronavirus in the countries. But as it is expected that the new season of the show will be out in the end of 2020.
