His Dark Materials is a fantasy drama television series based on the novel series of the same name by Philip Pullman. Bad Wolf and New Line Productions produced this series for BBC One and HBO.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the series has an approval rating of 81% based on reviews from 90 critics, with an average rating of 7.69/10. On Metacritic, the series has a score of 69 out of 100 based on reviews from 22 critics. In conclusion, season 1 has received an overwhelming response from the audience.
WHEN WILL SEASON 2 RELEASE?
The makers haven’t confirmed an official release date. However, they had renewed His Dark Materials for a second season before the first season was premiered. Fans expect to see His Dark Materials 2 by the end of 2020. However, there can be a delay due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
WHAT WILL THE PLOT BE?
Season 2 will pick up from where it left in the first season. Season two will adapt The Subtle Knife, Pullman’s second book in the original trilogy.
