Let’s start with engines, and the cheapest option is a 118bhp 1.5-litre EcoBoost turbo petrol engine, a great around-town runner. Diesel options are 1.5 and 2.0-liter EcoBlue engines, and the 2.0-liter diesel is available with mild mixed technology powered by a 48-volt battery and quality brake regeneration technology.

The new all-wheel-drive petrol hybrid is powered by a 2.5-liter engine and a lithium-ion battery. Two options will be available; a PHEV (plugin hybrid) or a self-charging hybrid. The plugin-in petrol-hybrid can do up to 34 miles in full electric mode.

What has been improved are the safety features. There’s a full roster of stuff, much of which is standard on higher-spec models like the Ford Kuga Titanium. It can now also park itself. There are intelligent headlights to improve visibility. The bonnet has been resculpted to be kinder to pedestrians if all of the above systems are in vain.

Inside, the new 2020 Ford Kuga proposal more space for passengers and a bigger boot too. Ford says rear passenger space is ‘best in class,’ rear legroom can be further enhanced with a new rear bench seat attribute

that allows it to be adjusted/moved backward.

The interior of the 2020 Kuga Model shares a lot of design quality found in the new Focus. The 8-inch touchscreen infotainment structure is built on Ford’s SYNC 3 platform. It features all the staple requirements expected in modern car-like Bluetooth, DAB radio, and smartphone integration in Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Also integrated is FordPass Connect, which furnish a mobile hotspot for up to devices to connect to. Also new is wireless smartphone charging.

Radar and camera structure take the Kuga to new levels of semi-autonomous driving with methods that can steer the car to avoid a smash and apply the brakes in an emergency. Other qualities include a lane-keeping assistant and new wide-angle cameras, which enhances front and front visibility.

Ford Kuga expected price in India would be Rs. 17.00 Lakhs.
