Jaguar XJ Preview
Jaguar XJ is the flagship luxury saloon in the British marque in India. Where few automobiles can be found in India it positions itself in a niche segment. Power is sourced from diesel and petrol units with an option for an automatic transmission. It has exterior interior and innovative features that make it an ideal version for the group.
The new Jaguar XJ was started for Rs 98.03 lakh (ex-showroom, pre-octroi in Mumbai) in the 13th Auto Expo. Styling updates have been received by the saloon and is promised to deliver improved performance over the prior version. Under the skin, it gets a choice between 2.0-litre petrol and 3.0-liter diesel motors which are paired to a standard automatic transmission.
Jaguar XJ Exterior
The new Jaguar XJ retains styling components from the preceding model with mesh information some new features like a more vertical grille in front with addition, LED headlamps with new LED tail-lamps that are elliptical and dual J Blade signature LED lights. Jaguar claims to have made the exterior aerodynamic when compared with the preceding version.
Jaguar XJ Interior
Cabin arms a plethora of new features such as the new 31.24cm TFT tool panel display, deployable rear-seat entertainment system with 25.90-cm HD screens and InControl Touch Pro infotainment system. Along with the aforementioned attributes, it gets soft grain leather cushioned chairs that are quilted with a navigation system and memory feature, a panoramic glass roof, LED reading lights and three massage programs.
Jaguar XJ Engine Specifications & Transmission
Electricity is sourced from the 2.0 litre, petrol engine putting out 237bhp at 5500rpm and 340Nm torque at 1750rpm. Diesel variants use the 3.0 litre, V6 turbocharged unit manufacturing 297bhp and 700Nm of torque. Both the engines get an 8-speed automated transmission.

Key features on the saloon include 14-way adjustable seats with lumbar support, front seats with carpet mat, heated front and rear seats and five massage programs set. Outside, it features LED headlamps with LED signature lighting & washers, twin oval exhaust and chrome grille with chrome surround.
Jaguar XJ Performance & Mileage
In terms of the functionality, the diesel motor propels to 100km/h from standstill inside 6.2 seconds and petrol powertrain achieves it in 7.9 minutes. Coming to the fuel market, the gas engine is rated at 9.4km/l as opposed to the diesel engine maintained to return 14.47km/l.
