Kia Motors Planning to Launch These Amazing Cars In India in the Coming Year !!!

Kia Motors is testing some new cars on Indian roads. The company has released official teasers about its upcoming Project X. It is the Seltos X range. The company also officially announced its entry into the 7-seater utility car segment. In India, Kia is expected to launch at least three new cars within the following year.

X-Line Seltos: 

For those who aren’t in the loop, Kia presented the Seltos X-Line concept during the 2020 Auto Expo. The official launch of X-Line in our markets will be in September 2021, just before Diwali. The new model will have cosmetic changes to distinguish it from the standard model. The new model will be painted matte grey, with chrome applique, side skirts and new bumpers. It will likely get a dark chrome bar between its tail-lights, new bumpers and a prominent faux skid plate.

Production versions of the X-Line Seltos will likely come with a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol motor that can produce 138bhp and 250Nm torque. The DCT will probably be a seven-speed. It will be powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine producing 113 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. There will likely be a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed torque converter auto.

Kia KY 7-Seater MPV:

Kia Motors will launch a new compact MPV codenamed Kia KY in India in 2022’s first half. According to some reports, production may begin by the end or early next year. Rumours suggest that the new MPV will be revealed in January 2022. The new Kia KY MPV is expected to be placed between the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Toyota Innova Crysta.

The Seltos platform will be used to build the upcoming Kia MPV. It is also used in the new Hyundai Creta. This platform can accommodate different sizes, including MPVs and SUVs with 7 seats. It will likely measure approximately 4.5m in length and share many features with the Seltos SUV. Two engine options are expected to be available for the new MPV. The 1.5-litre turbo-diesel petrol engine and the 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine will both be available. The first engine can produce 113bhp power with 144Nm torque, and the second engine can produce 113bhp with 250Nm torque. The engine will come with both a manual and an automatic gearbox.

Kia Sonet 7 Seater:

Kia Motors also tests a 7-seater Sonet SUV in India. According to reports, the 7-seater Sonnet is being sold by Kia in Indonesia, and According to media reports, the SUV could be launched in India early next year. The Indonesian-spec Sonnet (5- and 7-seaters) are being made and exported by Kia’s Anantapur plant, Andhra Pradesh, India.

The 7-seater Kia Sonnet may have a 2+3+2 seating arrangement with split-folding in the middle row and a one-touch tumble mechanism for the third row. The second row can be moved forward or backwards to adjust legroom for the third and mid-row occupants. The 7-seater Sonnet is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine with 113 bhp. A 1.5-litre diesel engine with 113bhp can also be added to the vehicle. The company could also use a turbocharged petrol engine of 1.0-litre (3-cylinder) capacity to power the SUV. There will likely be both manual and automatic versions.
