The new Mahindra Bolero Power+ has a revised style with a more upmarket feel to it. It sports new, flat headlamps for turning, revised upper grille and lower grille, X-shaped front bumper, updated front fog lamps and transparent tail lamps for glass. With a more relaxed driving environment, the bonnet provides more space.
Within, the Mahindra Bolero Power+ 2020 sports a new four-speed steering wheel from the Mahindra TUV models. So, the standard on the safety front is the driver’s airbag. So, with front SBR, ABS, and reverse parking sensors. It is India’s first platform with metal bumpers to follow the pedestrian safety requirements which will come into effect in October this year.
The new Mahindra Bolero Power+ has an improved, 1,5-liter BS6 turbocharged diesel engine called mHawk75 under the hood. The new engine produces 55.9 kW (76.00 PS) at 3,600 pm and a torque of 210 Nm at 1,600-2,200 pm.
The discontinued model’s BS4 1.5-liter mHawk70 turbocharged diesel engine produced 52.5 kW (71.38 hp) at 3,600 pm. And so 195 Nm torque at 1,400–2,200 rpm.
So, like the old engine, a 5-speed manual transmission ties up the new one. So, as in the older model, the micro-hybrid fuel-sipping technology (engine start-stop system) is standard.
