Netflix is packaged with science fiction/fantasy action-adventure series. But Lost in Space is a specific name that several subscribers have been binge-watching. It is a reboot of the 1965 series of the same title that follows the adventures of the Robinsons, a family of space colonists whose spaceship veers off course. They were initially on their way to satisfy the mission of colonizing the Alpha Centauri star system. But before they reached their destination, an unknown robot forced them to evacuate their mothership. The family crashed on a nearby world where they faced challenges and conflicts against strange surroundings and their demons.
Lost in Space has finished two seasons. Based on reports, fans are going to learn what happens following the events in the season 2 finale. Netflix revived the series in March 2020 for a year 3. But they also declared that they will be tying up all of the loose threads as it’s likely to be their final entry. Some dismayed fans attempted starting a request for many more episodes but it’s less likely going to make an impact.

Release Date
The most recent update concerning the production is that the series is planning to start filming in September 2020. If all goes well, they could wind up in January 2021. Nothing is still certain though as the world continues to confront the health crisis. Restrictions in some places are also still being implemented. For the time being, there’s absolutely no actual release date however if initial plans fall into place, Lost in Space season 3 may encounter around late summer or fall 2021.
Plot
Details continue to be kept under wraps but sources indicate it will pick up from where it left off. Season 2 ended with the Jupiter Transport carrying the children coming into contact with all the Fortuna. Those who follow the show know that Fortuna is the long lost ship controlled by Grant Kelly. He may still be alive.
Also, the show is said to change filming place in season 3. Sources say the third group will be Burnaby in British Columbia, which could indicate that they’re heading to a brand-new planet. More details will be shown soon so fans will have to stay tuned for more updates on Lost in Space season 3.
