Netflix’s first Messiah became the talk of the city before it hit the screens. The first season’s trailer, itself was mesmerizing and fascinating. It was released on December 3, 2019. Viewers eagerly waited for the release of the whole season, which was premiered on January 1, 2020.
Season 1 became a massive hit among fans. Cast and its premise were appreciated. However, the narration of this series was criticized for being dull and dull. Muslim people negatively received the series. Along with it, Jordan’s Royal Film Commission had asked Netflix not to stream it in Jordan.

This show’s premise revolves around a man who is first visible in the Middle East. He gathers a group of followers who believe him to be the return of Jesus (Isa). The sudden popularity and the wonders happening about him of the man give rise to an international following. Suspicions grow one of the western worlds. And a situation is placed through, investigated by CIA officer.
Since the series did not end on a cliffhanger, not much can be said about season 2. The renewal of this season isn’t even supported. The supported news is that Messiah year 2 is canceled. If some other streaming system picks up the show, it may dive more in-depth in the return of Jesus.
