The Mitsubishi Group is a group of autonomous Japanese multinational companies in a variety of industries.
Historically it ahs been a part of Mitsubishi zaibatsu, a unified company which existed from 1870, founded by Iwasaki Yatarō, to 1947 and was disbanded during the occupation of Japan following World War II.
Although the company participated in limited business cooperation, executive meetings and other small gatherings.
The four main companies in the Mitsubishi’s group are MUFG Bank which is the largest bank in Japan, Mitsubishi Corporation which is a general trading company, Mitsubishi Electric and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
Now coming to the latest news from Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, the company recently wraps off its plug-in hybrid Mi-Tech Concept at the Tokyo Motor Show, showing off a funky open-cockpit, buggy-style two-seater that can run on a variety of fuels.
The concept is unique of it’s kind and is equipped with a new, lighter drivetrain employing a four-motor, four-wheel-drive layout, which makes the drivetrain unique and futuristic.
The Mitsubishi-Tech’s hybrid system comprises a compact turbine generator in place of the conventional gasoline engine generator, the company revealed in it’s recent interview.
The vehicle’s turbine can run on gasoline, diesel, kerosene or alcohol, so drivers can select which fuel to use depending on their region, the Japanese automaker said.
This makes the engine a very adaptive one, which can cater to needs of any fuel provided to it. According to the company, the configuration of the newly designed dual motor along with an active Yaw control unit for the front and rear axles adjusts the torque difference between the left and right wheels to provide optimum torque for each tire, the company officials confirmed.
The use of a gasoline turbine can help reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides and other harmful substances due to its low combustion temperature and pressure.
This will also prove to be an environmental friendly and also the life expectancy of the engine is more as compared to the conventional internal engines and gasoline run engine.
The Mitsubishi-Tech concept supports a driving support technology. The company claims to enter in the production state by next year and the production version will be released in Japan by March 31,2020.
