New Hyundai I20 for India by October 2020.

So, Hyundai seems to be bringing India a new model, the i20 in the festive season. We don’t know yet about the end of the Corona Crisis. But yes, October seems pretty well for the launch. And, the new design on its car, this seems to be a new language to the design of cars. Their premium hatchback segment seems impenetrable. It seems to be a tough nut to crack in India. This segment is headed by the Hyundai Elite i20 and Maruti Baleno, both at the top of their sales. There is no downfall for them yet. There is slight in for Tata Altroz, but the sales have not been satisfactory. This is just bad timing.

And now, Hyundai is going for the most-awaited gen I 20. The launch process is well-timed and underway. There is no delay in the schedule. The lockdown has not affected the process for sure. The management and the top officials of the company have made sure to us that the vehicle is going to come in India during the festive season itself. This makes it clear to be by October 2020.

Talking of the looks and design of the new i20, they are sharp. The predecessors lag in the sharpness of this. This is a new design language. There may be some tweaks from the India spec model. And internationally, it is more than 4 meters long. This new design is mainly for Indian buyers. It is suited for their taste in looks. There are going to be three engine options as well, the 1.2-liter NA petrol, 1.5-liter diesel, and 1.0-liter turbo petrol with 7-speed DCT auto.

The interiors will be more than anything the market has seen from Hyundai. It is added up to with Creta inspired steering wheel. The 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment on offer.
And this time, we shall see the competition of i20 with Maruti Baleno, Toyota Glanza, Tata Altroz, Honda Jazz and the likes.
