Come 2020, Tata Motors is currently gearing up to launch a host of new and updated versions and among its long-anticipated launches has become the Tata Altroz.

Set to become the company’s first premium hatchback, the Tata Altroz is going to likely be offered in both petrol and diesel engines and the two will be compliant to the BS6 emission norms that are upcoming.
The petrol version of the Tata Altoz will be powered with a Revotron 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated engine. The 1199 cc engine is that the engine is tuned to develop a torque of 113 Nm and to churn out 85 bhp at 6000 pm.
The diesel variant, on the other hand, is powered with a Revotorq, 1.5-litre Common Rail Turbo Intercooled oil burner. The 1497 cc unit develops 200 Nm of peak torque at 1250-3000 rpm and is tuned to make 89 bhp at 4000 pm.
The engines come mated to some manual gearbox as standard, and there is absolutely no automated transmission available.
In terms of measurements, the Tata Altroz steps 3990 mm 1755 mm and 1523 mm height. The premium hatchback comes with a ground clearance of 165 mm and a 2501 mm extended wheelbase.
The petrol version of the car weighs 1036 kg while the scales are tipped by the petrol variant at 1150 kg. The top-end model will come with a pair of metal wheels, while the variants are most likely while the spare wheel is going to be a 14-inch unit to come with a pair of 15 inches.
Braking duties are handled disk brakes at the front and drum brakes. The suspension duties are handled by Independent MacPherson dual path strut with coil spring in the front and Twist beam with coil spring and shock absorber.
The lightest version of the car will come with projector headlamps, LED DRLs, fog lamps (front and back ), and rear defogger. The cabin comes with a 4-way adjustable driver seat and front passenger seat.
The cabin receives navigation from Harman & a 7-inch TFT color display with media. The machine will also arrive with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, video playback and more.
Other features include – Ideal Start Stop, engine push-button start/stop, fast charging, smart key, rear AC vents, electric tailgate, cruise control wiper, power windows, automobile headlamps and much more.
Concerning safety features, the car will include dual airbags speed sensing car door lock ISOFIX child seat mounts foglamps.
