The Batman Release Date, Cast, Plot And Other Update

It seems DC fans may be introduced to another new Joker from the future. Whether or not that is something worth will depend on the individual perspective of one. In any situation, a fresh rumor suggests that Matt Reeves’ proposed The Batman trilogy will probably be bringing another variant of the Clown Prince of Crime into the fold to match wits with Robert Pattinson’s Caped Crusader.

For now, we have to caution that this is just a rumor and ought to be regarded as such until further verification is supplied. Nevertheless, according to a new report, Matt Reeves, who’s directing and writing The Batman, intends to present a new Joker from the trilogy. While Warner Bros. hasn’t formally handed the green light to any sequels, however, it was previously reported that Reeves had plans to get a three-movie arc and Robert Pattinson signed a multi-picture deal. Assuming the initial entry is powerful, a sequel is ensured now. That would pave the way for a new Joker to enter the fold.

No details were given but it’s stated that Joker will be referenced from The Batman, setting up looks by the character in the third and second films. It is said that casting for the job has not yet begun. It’s worth mentioning that the upcoming movie will not take place from the already established DC Extended Universe (DCEU) alongside Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League. This will create an entirely new version of Gotham City and will take place in another universe.

Should this prove true, it might signify the third new version of the iconic DC villain on the big screen in less than a decade. Jared Leto had the unenviable task of following Heath Ledger’s Joker from The Dark Knight in 2016’s Suicide Squad. Leto’s version was not granted a great deal of screen time and was met with a reaction. Leto has to reprise the role and there are no programs which have been shown for that to take place. More recently, Joaquin Phoenix played a part in director Todd Phillips’ Joker, which was released last year and grossed more than $1 billion at the box office. Phoenix also won an Oscar. Cameron Monaghan also played a variant of the villain on Fox’s Gotham.

The Batman will feature multiple villains, such as Penguin, Carmine Falcone, Catwoman and Riddler. Rumors also surfaced recently that Bane, who last appeared in The Dark Knight Rises, might be brought in for its sequel as well. Production is currently looking to pick up again shortly following the shutdown, which went into effect. At present, the film is set to hit theaters on October 1, 2021. We’ll make sure to keep you posted as any further details are made available. This news comes to us through The Immediate.
