The Handmaid’s Tale is an American dystopian tragedy TV series created by Bruce Miller. The series made its debut with 10 episodes on April 26st 2017 as season 1, with 13 episodes as season 2 on April 25th, 2018, and with 13 episodes as season 3 on June 5th, 2019. The show was first premiered on SonyLiv and is also available on Netflix and has got a rating of 8.5/10 from IMDb and it shows that 88% are liking it according to Rotten Tomatoes. The fans loved the show. The Handmaid’s Tale tells the story in an updated version as we told in the book of the same title. The Handmaid’s Tale tells the story of a not so distant future where a total totalitarian theocracy has taken over the US.

The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4 Plot

Specific details on The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4 are unknown, but it’s not hard to speculate on what the new season will cover. In season 3 it was pretty much about June having enough with life in Gilead. At the end of season 3, we are left on a huge cliffhanger that whether June is alive or dead. It is predicted that the showrunners may kill June off and potentially focus on the new main character who is the sort to be inspired by June’s heroic act.

The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4 Cast

The cast members from the previous three seasons are expected to be back for the fourth season. This is expected to include Elisabeth Moss as June Osborne, Yvonne Strahovski as Serena Joy and Ann Dowd as Aunt Lydia. Other potential returning cast members include O.T. Fagbenle as Luke, Alexis Bledel as Emily, and Joseph Fiennes as Commander Waterford. However, Rita played by Amanda Brugel will not be returning to the show after she confirmed the news of Harper’s Bazar. The other cast members will be confirmed in the upcoming days.

 The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4 Release Date

The production of the film was stopped due to the coronavirus outbreak. As soon as the situation is under control the production will again start filming. This was announced by Elizabeth Moss on Instagram on March 16th, 2020. According to the previous release dates of the past three seasons it is expected that the show will be back on the big screen in June 2020. But still, there is no confirmation to this and no official release date has been issued till now. There is no trailer currently of the show as the series is yet to be released.
