Toyota has priced the trail-friendly variant of hot selling RAV4. It was revealed at the 2019 Chicago auto show. The most adventurous variant TRD off-road trim will join the 2020 model year.
The price starts at $36,300 and $1,120 are the destination charges which is mandatory. TRD off-road is one of the most expensive variants of 2020 RAV4. Whereas the full price is not announced yet, but the starting price of the 2019 LE model is $26,770, whereas the base price of range-topping limited is $36,170 with a four-cylinder engine. The price of the hybrid powertrain is $36,970. The starting price of Highlander is $32,950 and a rugged 4runner will set back buyers at least $37,140. All these figures include $1,120 destination charges.
There is trim specific suspension which helps to move the car on dirt roads without breaking anything expensive. It contains wrapped 18-inch alloys by all-terrain tries also come standard, but TRD Off-road offers the same 8.6-inch ground clearance as cheaper adventure trim.
The TRD off-road has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. It sends 203 horsepower and torque about 184 pound-feet via an eight-speed automatic transmission. To keep the RAV4 moving in low traction condition the torque vectoring tamper with the output of the engine between left and right wheel.
In upcoming weeks, the 2020 Toyota RAV4 Off-Road will start to travel to the dealer.
