Showrunner Lauren Hissrich verified a season 2 of the series, more than a month before the season published.

What’s the storyline?
The season was predicated on Sapowski stories and the showrunner has confirmed that the next series is going to be taken in the Witcher Saga book in the parts of the narrative. Some parts are also adopted from the Blood of Elves.
