Netflix has supported season two will publish on July 31st.
Showrunner Steve Blackman formerly revealed it would take the team around 18 months to make the next season, so it is arriving bang on time.

Way, who penned the comic books, has previously revealed he plans to keep the series from overtaking the books, as Game of Thrones did towards the end.
“The goal for us is to stay in front of the series, and because we are on series three [of the comics], we’re now ahead of the show,” he said.
“So that’s a fantastic thing. The idea with all the comic is to go right from series three, then have a break, then go right into string four. That’s our program to keep us on track. So there is a story there, and it’s all planned out.”
The first two volumes of this Umbrella Academy were printed back to 2008 before there was a break while Way concentrated on other endeavors.
New cast members have been confirmed for season 2
Joining the dysfunctional gang of superheroes is three new characters. TVLine reported in September the Yusuf Gatewood (The Originals) will perform Raymond, a natural-born, convinced chief; Marin Ireland (Homeland) will play with the no-nonsense Texas mother Sissy; and Ritu Arya (People ) will perform Lila, a chameleon” who is as brilliant or clinically mad as the situation requires.”
The Umbrella Academy Season 2 Plot
Season 1 of the Umbrella Academy ended on a cliffhanger. Which means there will be lots to explore in its forthcoming season. Nevertheless, Netflix is tight-lipped on the plot of another season.
Raising questions, Gallagher told RadioTimes the storyline for the season is top-secret. And when he revealed anything, he would be killed by Netflix. This usually means the next season will be full of superpowers, suspense, and surprises.
