Whether you’ve only quarantine binged Stranger Things for the first time or you saw season three if it premiered last year, the third season of Stranger Things was just as intense as the throw triumphed. There are also so many storylines that we want to be resolved: Can Hopper die? Are the Byers ever going to return to Hawkins? Can Eleven regain her abilities? And what about the Starcourt Theater (RIP)?
Recently, Netflix officially announced that there’d be a Stranger Things 4, and the Duffer Brothers have verified that manufacturing for season four is penalized. And although details for the new period are lean, we were able to put together some critical details about Stranger Thing 4. Here’s what you want to know.
When will Stranger Things 4 premiere?
Despite TV Line reporting back in October 2019 that the new period was slated to begin filming in January 2020 and wrap up from August, Deadline declared Stranger Things is one of the many series with production stopped because of COVID-19. Netflix put its originals’ creation, so it is difficult to say how much out of our friends in Hawkins’ of the season was finished and has not yet been finished. All we know is presently a 2020 launch date, and sometime in 2021 seems more likely.
How many episodes are in Stranger Things Season 4?
The total number of episodes of Stranger Things Season 4 hasn’t been officially shown yet, but we do understand that Episode 1 is titled”Chapter 1: The Hellfire Club.” TVLine reports that there may be nine episodes in Season 4, though it has not yet been confirmed.
What happens in Stranger Things Season 4?
As with all the previous seasons of Stranger Things, the storyline details of Season 4 stay a puzzle. However, we do have some advance intel. Keery, who stars as Steve Harrington, told Full Film (through PEOPLE) of Season 4, “Oh man, it’s pretty amazing–the Duffer brothers have done it again. I believe this year–and I know I say this every year–however, this is certainly going to be a whole lot scarier than in previous season, because last year was fairly dark.”
In a statement in the Duffer Brothers, the creators stated that Hopper would endure quite a bit in Russia, in which he is imprisoned, including, “Meanwhile, back in the states, a new horror is beginning to surface, something long-buried, something which connects everything… Season 4 is shaping up to be the most important and most terrifying nonetheless, and we cannot wait for everyone to see more.”
Variety also reported that Priah Ferguson is going to be upgraded to a series regular for Season 4, which means that you may expect to see more of the smart math whiz with the rest of the kids. Brett Gelman will also become a series regular for the fourth year. Also, there will allegedly be one incident describing a fan-favorite character’s backstory.
“We do not want to compose ourselves at a corner, so we try to have these early discussions with the authors just to be certain that we’re putting ourselves up to go in the right direction,” founder Ross Duffer informed Entertainment Weekly. “We don’t know a lot, but we do understand a lot of the big broad strokes. After season two, we understood about Billy. We knew the Russians were going to come in. We did not understand stuff and the mall, but again, we understand these big broad strokes. That is kind of where we’re in season four. We’ve got the large strokes. It is only about filling in these lines in the details. We’re pretty excited about where it’s potentially going to proceed.”
