‘Dead to me ‘is a television series that is currently being streamed at Netflix. It is an American Black comedy series and is created by Liz Feldman. The first season of this series was launched in May 2019. Due to an immensely great record created by its viewers, the producers decided to release its second season. Hence the season 2 of the series was released recently on May 3, 2020.
STORYLINE:
The story of the series is about two widows named Jen and Judy played by Applegate and Cardellini respectively. They both end up meeting in the therapy group where a lot of bereft spouses were gathered. The difference they shared became the reason behind their powerful friendship.
A BRIEF ON THEIR CHARACTERS:
Jen is a real estate agent by profession. She is suffering from the loss of her husband. He is said to have been killed by a driver in an accident. This caused her a great loss and to overcome it she does exercise, therapies, and other relieving activities. She takes this incident as a dark incident and struggles with her sorrow.
Judy became a widow after her husband died out of a heart attack. She takes this loss as a positive disposition and ends up taking therapy.
TWIST OF THE STORY:
Judy conceals a dark secret from Jen. This secret not only becomes the turning point of the story but also becomes the reason behind enhanced curiosity. Also, the unveiling of the secret behind Jen’s husband’s death makes her more insane. This twist of the story has successfully become a reason behind grabbing a great amount of audience.
