Barry is an American black play that was created by Bill Hader. Hader also writes and directs stars in the titular role and some episodes of the show. The show revolves around Barry Berkman, a hitman out of Ohio who travels to kill someone but finds himself joining an acting class where he starts to question his path and motivations.
He matches aspiring performer, Sally Reed, Gene Cousineau, and his assistant teacher. Meanwhile, he deals with his associates, such as NoHo Hank and Monroe Fuches.
The show has received universal acclaim from critics and fans worldwide and is among the best-reviewed shows on Rotten Tomatoes (using a 99%). Bill Hader has received numerous accolades, including two Emmys for Best Actor in a Comedy Series.
The first season aired from March 25, 2018, to May 13, 2018, and the second season aired from March 31, 2019, to May 19, 2019. Both seasons had eight episodes each.
