The pre-season:
Robert Kubica will be the first driver to sample Alfa Romeo’s C39 at the pre-season Formula 1 test in Barcelona 2020. Marking the team’s first outing for the ex-Williams racer.
Kubica announced last month as Alfa’s F1 reserve driver, shortly after he left Williams at the end of season 2019.
The 2008 Canadian Grand Prix champion will drive Alfa’s 2020 challenger on Wednesday’s first morning of winter testing. Before turning it over for the afternoon to Antonio Giovinazzi.
Kimi Raikkonen will drive the car on Thursday for the full second day of the opening test.
Alfa hasn’t disclosed how the second week of testing will split its rota.
