Made by Robia Rashid, Atypical stars Keir Gilchrist as Sam Gardner, an autistic teenager who has to contend with the trials and tribulations of growing up. Among Sam’s defining traits is that he’s fascinated by Antarctica and enjoys penguins. The show was renewed for a fourth and final season in February 2020.
