BMW plans ahead of time and is surely going to rain new vehicles

Well, the image was just a clickbait, but if you are here you won’t regret it. Here a glimpse of recent spotting of various upcoming BMW vehicles for the future.

BMW, the German automotive giant, which leads and has conquered all segments, be it SUVs, sedans or hatchbacks, or going green. BMW likes perfection, and always burns the midnight lamps to be the best, at the top. So let’s just go through the hottest and latest BMW news that many forgot to cover.

New 2021 BMW M3

Boosting into 2021 the new-gen BMW M3 mid-size sedan is set to have a rear-wheel drive and manual transmission and other options for the buyers to choose from. The new M3 will be powered by an S58 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline six-cylinder petrol engine. The resulting power remains unknown, but the same engine generates a 375kW/600Nm in the competition variant of X3 M and X4 M SUVs.

The same was teased by the Bavarians on the official youtube channel but was heavily camouflaged.  It also will have a “drift mode” that would disconnect the front axle for a completely different dynamic experience on a track.

2021 BMW M5 CS burning rubber on “The Ring”

The 2021 BMW M5 CS which has been announced for being revealed at the end of this year, is doing some last test laps. The prototype was semi-camouflaged and this may hint towards minor tweaks in the front and the rear. The expected changes might be some aero-tricks for the front and rear bumper. We can also expect a CRPF roof, better suspension system, more color choices, and exclusive wheel designs for the 2021 M5 CS.

The video captured a quicker than before and a more silent BMW M5 CS. It might hint towards a silent and fewer vibes from the exhaust, or BMW is just falling a silent exhaust silencer to surprise at the launch.

The upcoming BMW M5 CS will make 641 horsepower (478 kilowatts) from a tuned version of the M5’s 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8. The existing M5 Competition makes 617 horsepower (460 kilowatts) from the same motor.

BMW 3-series spied before launch?

We also know how much BMW is getting fond of electric vehicles and has also aimed at 25 electrified models in the lineup by 2023. Thus spotting an electric variant of BMW 3-series doesn’t surprise us a lot.

The camouflaged BMW had ‘electric test vehicle’ stickers, which is a mandatory procedure even for plug-in hybrid prototypes. No exhaust pipes in the rear clear the doubt of a BMW 3-series electric variant. But with BMW i4 already set to launch, this might be shifted for a little later.

The real reason behind company plans on launching the i4 before the fully-electric 3 Series was known as a spokesperson for BMW, talked with AutoCar UK. The reason that Mr. Domagoj Dukec, BMW’s design chief gave was that going electric is still a move buyers are skeptical of making, and EVs are also certainly more expensive than regular ICE cars. Electric cars still need time to build emotion, and BMW believes that right now “an electrified i4 makes more sense than an electric 3 Series“.

2021 BMW 2-series Active Tourer spotted…

The recently BMW 2-series Active Tourer was spotted and the strangest detail on the oddest BMW vehicle were huge grilles between the two headlights. The BMW’s Active Tourer is taller and narrower than what BMW is used to.

The upcoming 2021 BMW 2-series will be based on the same FAAR architecture as the latest front-wheel-drive BMW models. This might also hint at a plug-in hybrid variant for the same. The big grilles spotted on the camo-BMW was a head-scratcher but since it was just a prototype and the same can be retained or skipped before the production.

The 2 Series Active Tourer is likely to get a new infotainment system and design, the last time one was covered. Back then, the car was spotted testing with a different screen layout inside, which may raise a couple of eyebrows.
