F1 TV makes its North American debut on the Roku network, with both the Formula 1 OTT service’s Pro and Premium subscription plans being available in the US Roku Channel Store.

This is the first time that F1 TV is available to view on a large screen format. Formula 1 viewers (for the moment only) will now be able to enjoy a collection of additional apps on their desktops and mobile devices to those already provided by F1 TV and watch them on any platform they choose.

Fans can also view all of the live timing info. More than 800 hours of historic F1 footage and exclusive F1 TV videos such as “F2: Chasing the Dream”. The five-part docu-series that brings you behind the scenes of the 2019 FIA Formula 2 Championship.

The first opportunity to watch live streaming of F1 TV on Roku platforms will be from Wednesday, February 19. When pre-season training sessions for Formula 1 begin. Every day, from 19 to 21 February and from 26 to 28 February, F1 TV will live-stream every session.

Frank Arthofer, Formula 1’s Director of Digital and Licensing said:

This is an exciting time for Formula 1 and we are happy to announce this deal with Roku.

The introduction of F1 TV in the US, with Roku as our first connected TV device, would help us to strike the right balance on a new platform between super-serving fans and training and learning. There is enormous potential to give fans and Roku subscribers alike an improved viewing experience for the sport.

Yulia Poltorak, Roku’s Head of Global Content Distribution added:

Formula 1 is one of the world’s most-watched sports shows.

Now Roku users in the U.S. can experience the thrill and excitement of this prestigious competition right in the comfort of their living rooms.

F1 TV will allow users to watch all sessions of each Grand Prix live. They allow access to all onboard cameras and listen to unedited team radios. As well as watch the Pit Lane multi-screen channel showcasing the best camera angles and data at any given time.
