Harley-Davidson Low Rider S was Rs 14,69 lakh cost

Harley-Davidson announced on its Indian website their new Softail variant, the Low Rider S, priced at Rs 14.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). That is the quality in the Vivid Black color scheme for it too. Although in the second color choice – Barracuda Silver – the website does highlight the bike, there is no price for it yet. The silver paint scheme costs an estimated USD 400 (around Rs 30.000) for the black edition as a comparison.

    Features:

Through drawing their cue from the West Coast custom scene, the Low Rider S differentiates itself from the regular Low Rider. Because it’s a version of S or a Rare. It has a black-out pattern that covers most of the chrome. There are, however, few places where chrome is still being used. Such as on the exhaust tips and engine fins. The bike also comes standard. With a single seat and uses a large handlebar which gives it the custom look.

Harley also said the bike has more physically in common with the Fat Bob than it does with the Low Rider model. This uses a smoother 28-degree steering angle, a 43 mm USD fork, and a front-brake twin-disk system. Such as Fat Bob. Another major difference comes in its engine shape; the S uses a larger 1,868cc, 114 Milwaukee Eight V-twin which allows a torque of 161Nm at just 3,000rpm.

The wheel-and-tire combination is very unusual on the Low Rider S. It uses a 19-inch wheel up front with a 110/90 section tire. While a 16-inch wheel with a 180/70 tire is at the rear. The Low Rider S is pretty heavy at 308 kg (curb weight), but as our first ride review showed, it doesn’t mind playing a little bit.

Indian Scout Bobber Sixty is India’s closest competitor to the Low Rider S. That has not yet made the move to emission standards for BS6, however.
