Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator gets sudden updates amidst the Bronco hype building up.

Jeep Wrangler gets additional updates to Fight The Ford Bronco.

The Jeep Wrangler is getting some sudden upgrades. The previous attractive optional features are getting standard. Is this just a coincidence???

For improved off-road ability, the base Wrangler Sport trim now gets the Selec-Trac full-time four-wheel-drive system from higher-grade models, rather than the existing Command-Trac system. The Rubicon now gets the Off-Road Plus system to adjust the throttle, transmission shift points, and traction control. As an option, the Sahara and Rubicon can get a forward-facing camera for a better view when rock crawling.

Other than this, the Technology Group that usually retails for $995 becomes a standard feature on the Sport S trim level. These updates will attract more worshippers for the company, but the Bronco’s chances of getting a massive hit are sure, with the current hypes building up for the iconic SUV reviving.

2021 Jeep Gladiator gets 442 lb-ft Diesel Engine

The Jeep Gladiator gets the 3.0L EcoDiesel engine from the Wrangler. This engine block churns out 260 hp of max power and 442 lb-ft of max torque. However, expect a performance deficit due to the added unsprung weight. According to Jeep, the engine pairs with a “newly added TorqueFlite 8HP75 eight-speed automatic transmission, calibrated for low RPM shifts and the on- and off-road rigors of Jeep Gladiator duty. More than 40 individual shift maps optimize shift points for fuel economy, performance, and 4×4 capability.”

Only the Sport, Overland, and Rubicon trims will enjoy the EcoDiesel option for now.
