Based on a comic book series of the same title, Stumptown is a crime drama show. The series was accommodated by Jason Richman. The series conducted for 18 episodes in total and premiered on ABC in September 2019. Stumptown concluded its first season on 25 March 2020. The show had been scheduled for 13 episodes though initially. However, for five episodes, ABC expanded the initial season owing to its success.
The show received generally positive reviews. Stumptown was praised for dealing with issues like PTSD. Furthermore, Cobie Smulders’ portrayal of the detective, the story was also received. It became a hit among fans and gained a cult following.
Stumptown Season 2: Release date
Towards the end of its run, the first season got a mixed reception. This caused lovers to doubt whether the show would be revived. But lovers’ concerns proved untrue. As in May this season, ABC renewed the series for another season. Though, once the series would launch, we do not know. Considering the current circumstances in the world, we assume fans will have to wait sometime. Generation on it won’t start until things get back to normal and haven’t begun yet. So for today, we’re expecting a release date of sometime in late 2021.
Stumptown Season 2: Possible cast
Since the series was renewed, the cast has not been declared. However, we can say for sure which Kobie Smulders will reunite as Dex Parios, the series protagonist. She will most probably be joined by:

- Jake Johnson as Grey McConnell
- Adrian Martinez as Tookie
- Cole Sibus as Ansel Parios
- Camryn Manheim as Lieutenant Cosgrove… and others. In essence, we expect most of the primary cast to reprise their roles.
Stumptown Season 2: Expected plot
At the moment, we hardly have some information on the plot of the upcoming season. However, we can say that season 2 will start right where the season left. However, it’s been suggested that the events of season one finale will impact Dex in more ways than one. What’s more, the arrival of Dex’s mother in the episode will also have ramifications. Reports sign that season two will concentrate on their relationship. We also expect Dex to fix a new situation from the season as well.
Stumptown Season 2: Storyline
The series follows a veteran, Dex Parios. She has PTSD from her time in Afghanistan, and moreover, bears the guilt of her lover’s death. Due to debts and fiscal struggles, she decides to become a detective. She has referred to cases. These cases are solved by her with intellect and her humour. In the first season, she solves the puzzle of her deceased lover’s murder.
Stumptown Season 2: Trailer
The series hasn’t entered production yet, as stated before. So a trailer is out of the cards for the time being. Next season, though we assume that a trailer will be released.
