The Last OG Season 3 was premiered on and final episode of the Season 3 aired on 9 June 2020. Now fans have started making a buzz for the Season 4. But things have been quite unusual this time. Earlier the show was renewed for the 3rd season, one month before the season 2 finale premiered on TBS app. We were also anticipating a similar announcement this time, but we have not heard anything from them. One month has passed since the episode finale of Season 3 was aired, official Twitter of The Lost OG has been tweeting all kind of recaps from the season 3, but so far they have not made the announcement.
The last OG follows a convict who comes out of the jail based on his behaviour after serving in the prison for fifteen years. He returns to his old Brooklyn neighbourhood which has changed beyond his imagination. His ex-girlfriend, Shannon (also known by nickname Shay-Shay), is now married to another man named Josh and is raising his twin children Amira and Shahzad. He struggles to blend himself in the new Brooklyn. He decides to become a better man and amend his ties with his ex-wife, to become a better father.
The latest Season 3, was coincided with the death of George Floyd. The season finale was so relevant and poignant, and official social media bragged about this as it was coincidental the episode was shot before the death. So, with Season 3, it was able to continue its successful run despite the little marginal drop in viewership. But it is worrying that show makers are still taking time to renew this successful TV series.
The Last OG Season 4 is highly likely to be renewed
He is considering that TBS has only three scripted shows currently streaming on the TBS network. TBS always seems so proud of its show, so the possibility of getting a fourth season is very high and almost certain. Tracy Morgan, who plays the lead role of Tray Baker, he has expressed his feelings for the show. So, he would love to reprise his role. Let’s hope we will get the update soon. So Season 4 is expected to follow the May, June release date of other seasons.
