At the launch event of the scooter, TVS Motor Chairman Venu Srinivasan said that TVS Motor caters to all the innovation customers. Our focus is on the ‘green and connected’ youth of the country. We have included these in TVS Electric’s portfolio. TVS iCube is built on the Electric Advanced Drivetrain and Next Generation TVS SmartExconnect platform.

The company first introduced this scooter at the 2012 Auto Expo. It has SmartExconnect connected tech, LED headlamp with LED DRL and taillamps. The electric motor given in the scooter generates a power of 6 bhp and torque of 140 Nm. At the same time, its speed is 78 kmph.

The iCube has a 4.5 kWh lithium-ion battery, which can be charged in approximately 5 hours. However, the company has not yet provided fast charging for this. In the Indian market, it can compete with Bajaj Chetak Electric, Athar 450 and Okinawa Prize.
